This project focuses on diagonal relationships between spaces and details. The concept revolves around the diagonal column of space spanning the three floors from the top corner (the large glass roof) to the lower corner (the small removed courtyard). The concept of diagonals was then emphasized by dueling stairs which intersect the three-story atrium in two diagonal directions. These stairs not only serve as circulatory devices but also features of the home. They cast diagonal shadows along several wall faces in the atrium. Other shadows are also cast by the triangular window mullions, creating beautiful designs on the plain walls
