The site of this community project is Hans Tavsens Park, an under-utilized patch of green space between the densely urban neighborhood of Nørrebro, København and Assistens Cemetery. Parkscape aims to maintain the integrity of the site's landscape while adding the new program, specifically a Community Kitchen and Cafe. To do this, the greens pace is sliced and lifted like a fabric and the program (and the surounding city-scape) is inserted below, creating a weaved “Parkscape”. This form generates additional “Micro-Climates” within the park landscape for locals and visitors to inhabit and enjoy.
